Well, not in the literal sense, but if you’re interested in a “steady diet of fear,” then Lori Borgman has a fabulous column to read (click here). The short of it is that there are fear-mongers everywhere in our world, screaming for our attention. Will we die from eating licorice (no one bothered to say how *much* can be ‘deadly’)? Or from the gazillions of germs on our phones or keyboards? If it’s the latter, then I’m *really* in trouble–laptops are such volatile creatures that I shudder to think what I might do to it with a shot of Lysol. 😐 What about the “damage” we may be doing to our kids as we help them learn to walk? Or the deadly pestilence awaiting us on our toothbrushes?

Sheesh.

Quite frankly, if I wanted to live my life in fear, I’d watch the evening news on TV. But I don’t. And I refuse to subscribe to the idea that everything in my world is just waiting to kill me. I do believe I was created to live forever. But not here–and there’s no amount of avoiding different things that will change the fact that I will die and leave this world. But while I am *here*, I’m choosing to live life to the fullest and not panic about every little thing that someone crows about as being dangerous.

Ignorance is bliss, or so they say. So I’m content being blissful..
